The director of the Sangamo Archaeological Center, Robert Mazrim, has written a number of books, reviews of which you can read at Top-Papers.com. In addition to many books, he also written small publications on frontier and colonial archeology in the Midwest. Some of these, such as The Sangamo Frontier, feature research-based excavations conducted by the Center. Mazrim has also worked closely with the Illinois State Archaeological Survey (University of Illinois, Champaign), analyzing historic sites excavated as part of government-sponsored salvage projects. That work has produced three summary volumes on frontier and colonial archaeology in Illinois.
